Hello lovely friends!
I have always loved Anne Bogel’s idea of creating a list of interesting links on the internet! So I thought you might enjoy something similar.
If you have some links that you love and that you’d like to share, comment below or email me at shirajrodriguez@gmail.com! I love hearing from you all!

"Goodbye, Helen" -- Bethany J. Melton I have always loved Bethany’s gift for making me love the simple and beautiful and this little piece absolutely stole my heart.
Graduating & Rest | graduating in 2023 & plans now that I’m done with school…for now | -- Fable Rose (Moriyah C.) This is one of my absolute favorite blogs and I’m so delighted to call the girl behind it a dear friend! Moriyah reflects in this article on her next steps after graduating, which I wish I could have read when I graduated. Sometimes in the hectic expectation to rush from high school to college, we forget to give ourselves permission to REST which is so crucial. (Also, can I say I was over the moon to find that she mentioned me on her post?!?! 😮)
Enduring Word Bible Commentary Isaiah Chapter 6 I have been reading the first chapters of Isaiah recently and I’ll be honest, I didn’t understand them. Then I asked the Lord to help me understand and I looked up some commentaries on Isaiah Chapter 6 in particular. This one popped up and friends…wow, just…wow! I was so blessed and moved by this commentary on the story of Isaiah’s call and just had to share it with you all! Definitely a new favorite resource!
Springtime in Surrey Anthology I have a soft spot for anthologies and I was SO. EXCITED. When I heard this one was releasing!! Definitely add it to your TBR on Goodreads! I can’t wait to read this especially since a lovely friend of mine, Grace Johnson, wrote a story as part of this collection!
Writing For His Glory: Confronting Our Perfectionism -- E. K. Meyer I loved reading this beautiful post by my lovely friend Ella. It’s so true how perfectionism often hinders us from creating beauty and allowing God to work through us!
(Mostly Free) Things to Do When You Want to Get Offline Someone in my family (you know who you are… O_O ) was bored one afternoon so I googled “things to do offline when you’re bored” and this amazing article popped up! If you’re completely out of ideas, have no fear…this post has no less than 30 (Mostly Free) Things to Do When You Want to Get Offline.
3 Steps to Build an Audience BEFORE You Have an Offer to Sell - Jenna Kutcher I survived on prayer and Jenna Kutcher when I had my eye issues (for those of you who didn’t know, a couple months ago I had some eye issues that kept me from using my computer and phone and gave me quite a nasty mix of dizziness and headaches and eye pain. As I couldn’t read or write, I leaned into podcasts, audiobooks, and dictation to get my reading/writing done). I loved listening to this episode recently and am always so full of ideas after listening to the Goal Digger Podcast! If you haven’t tuned in before, definitely do because she has the most intuitive and user-friendly tips on marketing I’ve found so far!
Cream of Mushroom Soup | The Modern Proper I love The Modern Proper and used to LOVE Sweet Tomato’s soup selection (before it closed down, of course). So I have to try this sometime soon!
On My Side of the World
Here are a couple of blog posts and podcast episodes you might want to catch up on!
Why Write Stories? | Shira Rodriguez It feels crazy to say that I wrote my first post on this website almost five years ago! If you want to be reinspired to write, definitely read this article! (Also, if you’re at all like me, you’re the sort of person who’s just curious and loves reading people’s first attempts at something…just because it reminds you that every oak tree was once an acorn.)
5 Movies that Celebrate Inspirational Black Lives | Shira Rodriguez Do you love movie recommendations? If you do, get a non-woke list of inspirational movies that I love and I hope you will too!!
5 Foolproof Ways to Make People Feel Loved Today | Shira Rodriguez I loved working on this episode and discovered so much myself about how to love the people God’s put in my life.
